Again, is there any way to get the Creative EP-630 earphones in Canada?

Wow, those look nice - I like the retro design... guess you can get em around $30, even if they're listed for ~$60.
Thanks for the info, ColdFire!

Any good recommendations on a "budget" in ear or earbud style headphones that have a straight mini jack plug instead of the 90* bend like most? I'm looking for something in the $20 to $30 price range.
Deep bass is not necessarily. I just want something that is clean sounding with decent mids and clean highs. |

Thanks for the reply Steve. I decided to go with the Creative EP-630's. They also have a straight mini jack plug.

Yeah, at that price ($19.95) at Creative's Website, you cant go wrong. I ordered two pairs. Haven't recieved them yet though.

I would have order through creative for $19.99 with the rebate, but with tax and shipping it would have been more then amazon. I actually ordered a set this Tuesday for $26.05 w/ free ground shipping. You really cant beat that. Apparently though the price at amazon for the EP-630 has gone up since i ordered.

Funny though... I actually prefer the Sony MDR-Q22LP's to the KSC75's.. I think the Q22's have a better sound stage then the KSC75's, and I feel the bass lines are a little more pronounced, and not as "muddy" then with the KSC75's....Plus the Sony's were more comfortable. Just my opinion....

Interesting - never heard/seen those... but then again, I don't follow the Sony line of products. (Which can be a mistake, the EX91 should be very good, too.)
I'll check some more opinions on those - thanks for the info! ![]() And, yes - the KSC75 don't have a soundstage at all - very similar to most IEMs.

Thanks, on Head-Fi there is just the usual Sony-bashing going on about these phones, but only 3 mentions of the phone on the whole forum - so nothing to base an opinion on ("I haven't heard them but they sure are crap..."). Justified for 99% of all Sony phones, IMO, but I take your word for the quality of the Q22's at that price.

Yeah, they're better than the PX60, but I didn't add them to this list cause they're closer to $50. (Sub-$30 phones here only
)

I got my px100 for $35 off of amazon, but they have jacked up the price since then. Some characteristics that I value it over the ety er-6i is that I get less listening fatigue from it, it has slightly more of the bass-head feeling, and it's wires are less tangle-prone. I am definitely satisfied with the customer service and its 2 yr warranty.

i dont recommend the jvc marshmallows at all.
i bought a pair for $20 and was satisfied at first, but then the foam kept falling from my ears and i had to push it in real deep just so it could stay on, and i could feel the hard plastic under the foam hurting my ears. also, these things don't last. the foam in-ear pieces need replacing because they get dirty and they lose their foamyness; they don't decompress. |
