Default Sync Adapter (dongle)

where can i find a spare one? i live in canada..

i know creative has it on their website, but its only in the states so i would have to ship it here, and that would cost me $48.63 USD (without tax)

does anyone know of an alternative? any stores i can go to, websites?

i have no experience with ebay so im not really into that option..

As an alternative, you can buy USB and AC cords with the correct plug-in for the ZVM so you bypass the dongle.

P.S. Woo hoo Canada!

You can also try

I have personally have been using their direct sync cables for both charging and synching for a couple of months now with no problems. I am quite happy with it. Good luck.

I second zenjitsu, gomadic.com has many great accessories - I've been using mine for many months. They have a lifetime warranty also.

I have their AC and car chargers...

Anyway, what was the point of the dongle? Why didn't they just integrate the inputs into the ZVM? Call my crazy (you wouldn't be the first, heh) but it seems like the purpose for it is to get lost so you need to buy another one from Creative.

I think its space reasons.

Instead of incorporating them on the sides or bottom individually and making the player bigger and whatnot they made it so when you didnt need that function u didnt have to worry about it.

Basically take the mp3 player and add the size and weight of the dongle.. and imagine carrying that around all the time.. connected... I can leave the dongle at home in the bag or whatever and go around throughout the day without it.

less space/weight that is there only when you need it.
