you might have to update your firmware as Creative took away FM Recording for a month or so.

Unfortunately, ZVM 60 does not have FM recording feature.
Recent firmware update will bring back fm recording for 30gb version but as far as 60 gb is concerned, the feature is gone

Thanks a lot dissembled!
I just got my 60GB ZEN Vision las friday and just getting familiar with it.
Loved that the Zen Micro will not go to "docked" automatically once you connected it to the computer and allows to actually use it while it´s connected via the USB cable.
I have one question though.
Why can´t you use the wall charger that comes with the zen micro to charge the Vision? They both have the same mini-usb connector, and if it´s charged via the 5v PC USB port it should be able to do the same with the 5v wall charger that cahrges the micro, well, at least I think it should, avoiding me from purchasing another charger!

I noticed in the menu on my ZVM that I can add a password for protected content. Is there a way I can make some files (either audio or video) protected so I have to use my password to listen to them?

Or, is that function for something else? Thanks.

Sort of yes, sort of no. When you get your password set, and you go and mark which folders in videos and photos are private, you just go back to the system menu and choose Hide. All that really does is hide the folders you've marked, and to unhide them in the System menu, one has to supply the password.

I've not tried this with regular music files, but I'm not sure if it would or would not work. My guess is it would.

But, there is no way to password protect a file or folder like what I think you're asking - where it's still shown, but when you press play you'd get hit with a prompt asking for the password. There isn't a way to lock anything like that on the player - just the ability to hide things.

To select what you want the shortcut button to do

- Press and hold shortcut button, while doing this press the back button below

Hope that makes sense! It's like right-clicking

theres no need to press back button you just hold the shortcut button

This Tip When You Forget your password for protected content run the disk clean up and it will delete your password

Wow, thanks alot! I always thought the clicker was for being able to click on the scroll pad or something like that.

I dont think i got a manual that discusses features.... really odd.
Where do you lock? Menu? From PC? Ive looked through the manual that shows me how to add files and all, but doesnt show me extras like "hide".

If you want to read a book on your ZVM you can do it by chapters but you wont have a book mark feature. You can create a new contact named Chapter whatever and fill out the information and you will have 1214 in the notes section and about the same in the Address so each is about 1/3 of a chapter.

If you do it in Tasks you have the same amount of room but its easier to set everything up.

I have been doing this since I got the ZVM. I use this trick for Poems and short stories and it works great.

To do it with books do it in this format.
Subject: Chapter 1 of 26 Part 1 of 4 (for the easiest search.)
Due Date: off
Start Date: off
Priority: in one book make them all 1 thing like low,med or high dont vary (the ZVM will make the high prioritys first which I use to set 3 books or poems I liek to read up front where the less used are med or low.
Description: Text from the book/poem.

On the new firmware 1.6 you will need to add in a date which doesnt really matter.

You should download the PDF manual.

You'll want to look at pages 22 and 23.

hey, can i ask if there's a trick to view the songs on my zvm by title and not by artists' folder? because each time i try i see the folders and all. i cant edit my songs that way. or am i just bein clueless again? thanks
