Yes. I would have never started this list if they didn't. And if you want proof, the last firmware update contained several items requested in this list.

-Automatic or Dynamic Playlist & -Moods, on a small player this would be advisable to use your media player of choice.

On the last request, it would be better to have rhaspsody and the rest write stable program code that works well with BOTH MTP and MSC instead of haveing a DAP F/W fix software player bugs

Right now the new 1.05 F/W is pretty dam good, but the boot time with a 2GB external is slow, and will get a lot slower with a more encompassing "blotware" F/W.
With the vast differences in user requirements, the ultimate F/W(s) would be a muliple choice type where the end user can choose from a list of F/W's.

But due to support issues and the all too common id10t problems that will result, this is an impossibility. Keep It Simple Smarty, is a credo that needs to remembered for the stability of our belove players

I do have a (2) new feature request though:
-The firmware MUST have a downgrade option built into the file check verification flash
-Please <PLEASE> post an emergency F/W flash utility. The Insignia will blow the X20 out of the water with this utility

Default Feature Request

Requests I've seen are "nice to have".

But only think 1 is critical: Bookmarks in Playlists, or under a Genre selection.

If you use the player to listen to audio books (not audible), it is very important to play in order. But this can be as many as 200 files, so if you want to "leave" the book for some music, it is very difficult to get to where you were. This is a big feature of audible's format, but unfortunately have not found any software that will convert multiple MP3's to aa.

I may be dreaming on some of these features and I don't know if they have been requested but it's worth a shot..

**More video functions**
Step by frame.
Zoom into video like pictures.
Adjust the video picture, move it around the screen.

**Ability to play midi files**
I don't know if the hardware would be possible to implement this or even through a software synth?

**Ability to read txt files**
Again like the above, a lot of portable media players some to have this now.

They already have this. Just hold down stop/play button for a few seconds while a movie is playing. Then you can forward/reverse using the wheel.

56 .m3u Playlist Support [4 votes]

Should not be marked fixed in 1.2. It doesn't work in non-DRM mode (MSC/File and Folder). There are several threads in several forums, nobody can get it to work. It's the reason I upgraded to 1.2, so less than thrilled here. Still, don't mind 1.2, it makes up for it's new bugs with some nice new things.

NEW FEATURE REQUEST:

I dunno if this has been stated or is possible, but I use the player's recording features(line in and radio streaming) semi-frequently, and it's a total pain to have to use comp to name songs, and I seem to screw that up a lot due to not having a good program that can play and edit song title, artist, etc. easily going back and forth between two. It would be useful if the player could name songs w/out pc.

My votes: (yes to all listed)
7-text viewer
3-in player file deltion
?-emulator
44- battery display percent and stuff
6- wallpaper
36- selectable themes
