SanDisk are introducing adjustments to two of their Sansa players. Firstly, without dropping any qualities from the Sansa Connect a sizeable $100 has been cut from its price. The 4GB player will now retail for $150, on top of which the unlimited WiFi downloads from Yahoo! Music Unlimited come at a monthly charge of $15.
The second change is to the Sansa Shaker. Previously available in a single storage capacity of 512MB, a 1GB model is also presented by Sandisk. The 512MB and 1GB models are now $35 and $50 respectively.

The ubiquity of digital audio players is becoming more evident as companies venture into younger demographics. SanDisk does just that with an MP3 player targeted at the tween and possibly even the toddler demographic. Enter the Sansa Shaker. Doused in gender specific colors of pink and blue, the Shaker resembles more of a toy than an MP3 player.
The Shaker cannot be taken as a serious digital audio player; it is definitely intended for the kids. However, I can see this being used as an inexpensive podcasting device with its practical internal speaker. And at around forty bucks, it is a great way to introduce your kids to digital audio.
SanDisk will be hitting the younger generations with a new player dubbed the Shaker. The Shaker will feature a built-in speaker for untethered tune enjoyment. Additionally, there will be two headphone jacks for sharing your tracks with a friend. The players will come in one capacity, 512MB, but will feature an SD slot for additional storage. Navigation is controlled by white bands at the top and bottom of the player but also has an interactive “shake” feature.
The Shaker will come in blue and pink and will retail for
a bit under $50$39.99. Look for it sometime next month.
